KyphoWedge 7-Pad Positioning System
WEDG3000 | MR Safe
Leg Support for MRI, CT, and Patient Positioning
KyphoWedge is a standalone seven-pad system designed to support and elevate a patient's legs during MRI, CT, and other situations where leg support is needed. Its wide base and interlocking leg-positioning pads allow trained imaging professionals to build the height needed for the patient while the top curved pad supports the legs.
The complete system contains no metal and is identified by the manufacturer as MR Safe. KyphoWedge can be used independently and can also complement KyphoLift; it is sold separately and is not included with KyphoLift.
Positioning System
- A wide, stable base built from three interlocking leg-positioning pads supports adjustable-height positioning.
- The top curved pad supports the patient's legs above the adjustable base.
- Three rectangular comfort pads can be placed where needed to support burn-prevention padding practices.
- The leg stabilizing strap helps keep the supported legs in position.
- The carrying case keeps the complete system together for storage and transport.

Positioning Workflow
- Maintain patient comfort while preparing the positioning setup.
- Add leg-positioning pads until the desired support height is reached.
- Assess whether additional padding is needed for the patient.
- Place the rectangular comfort pads as needed and secure the supported legs with the stabilizing strap.
Care and Cleaning
- Before and after use, clean and disinfect all surfaces, then wipe them dry.
- Manufacturer-approved examples include Cavi-Wipes, Sani-Cloth, Super Sani-Cloth, and Sani-Cloth Bleach.
- Alcohol-based wipes or a cloth with a properly diluted quaternary-ammonium solution may be used according to the cleaner manufacturer's directions.
- Do not immerse the foam in liquid, sterilize the pads, use full-strength cleaning concentrate, or expose the system to extreme heat.
- Store the dry system in its carrying case at 10°C to 40°C (50°F to 104°F). Protect the foam from heavy objects, hard impacts, and pressure points that could cause permanent deformation.
Safety Information
- Read the complete instructions before patient use. Operation is limited to trained personnel.
- Inspect the pads, components, and imaging table before every use. Do not use a damaged, degraded, incomplete, or unexpectedly functioning system.
- Never exceed the imaging table manufacturer's rated weight capacity.
- Repairs or modifications must be performed by an authorized specialist.
