Gleiter Transfer Pad
GLE04000 | MR Safe
Manual Patient Transfer
The Gleiter Transfer Pad is a lightweight manual patient-transfer device for moving a patient between beds, gurneys, and similar hospital surfaces. Its built-in side handles give trained healthcare professionals secure hand positions during the transfer workflow.
The pad contains no magnetic materials and is identified by the manufacturer as MR Safe. It can be used for transfers associated with an MR table when the facility's transfer protocol and the table manufacturer's instructions are followed.
Gleiter is a standalone patient-transfer product. It is not a stretcher, a conventional anatomical positioner, or a component included with KyphoLift or KyphoWedge.
Transfer Workflow
- Clean, disinfect, inspect, and dry the Gleiter before use.
- Place an appropriate patient sheet, chuck, or other protective layer beneath the patient.
- Using an appropriate number of trained personnel, lift the patient with the sheet or chuck onto the Gleiter without jeopardizing patient or staff safety.
- Use the Gleiter's built-in handles to move the patient to the receiving bed, gurney, or permitted imaging surface.
