The PH-34 MRI/NM Head Phantom BHC is an adult-male-size head phantom for MRI, nuclear medicine, SPECT/CT and CT imaging. Its acrylic head container incorporates an artificial epoxy-resin skull with X-ray absorption characteristics approximating those of a human skull.

Two fillable tumor spheres, 10 mm and 20 mm in diameter, can be mounted on straight or curved insertion rods and positioned within the phantom. A 10 mM nickel chloride solution is supplied for MRI use.

MRI Solution and Handling

Nickel chloride solution is supplied for MRI use
T1 and T2 measurements are temperature sensitive; allow the phantom and solution to stabilize at room temperature before repeatable testing
Handle the special-resin phantom carefully and keep it at room temperature away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight
Do not mark the phantom with a pen or leave printed materials in contact with it, as stains may be permanent
Color may change over time without affecting phantom performance
