Installation Instructions

  • The SH-267 Step Heater is installed on the bottom side of the entrance step.

  • The surface must be clean and dry prior to installation of the heater.  Clean the surface where the heater is to be placed with Isopropyl Alcohol just before application of the heater. (Do not use Solvent based cleaners!) Make sure to allow the alcohol to dry completely before placing the heater on the step.

  • Peel the release paper from the back of the heater and place it (adhesive side up) in the center of the bottom side of the bottom entrance step.

  • Make sure that all parts of the heater contact the surface of the step.

  • Wire leads should be connected to a 12 Volt power source with crimp type connectors.

  • The heater's power circuit must have an in-line fuse or circuit breaker. Ultra Heat recommends the use of an on/off switch with the use of the SH-267 Step Heater.

  • Automotive undercoating can be put on the SH-267 after installation without any adverse effects.
